I believe you're absolutely correct. As a general rule (of course, there are always exceptions), customers that grind and push for the absolute "best price" tend to be unhappiest and most high maintenance before, and after, the sale. In contrast, customers that buy at a "fair" price, are the happiest and easy to deal with before and after the sale. This isn't isolated to rv sales - it's in all types of transactions.
There have been some posts on the forum talking about repairs, where members have commented they would have refused service to the customers because they would have been too diificult and unreasonable - some people you can never make happy.
When we bought our campers, both purchases were very easy, we felt we got a fair deal and the service was top notch. In fact, we were so satisfied the first time around, we bought our second rig from the same person. He runs a nice dealership and treats his customers right.
