I agree with this point. We are on all this planet to survive...together!
I find this topic interesting from a different viewpoint. I like to know WHAT I can afford before I go waste the salesperson's time. If my hopes of owning something I want is not possible within my budget, I'll just sit at home and sulk. But, if I see a 25k camper and realize it is possible to get it down to what I can afford, I will try to make that happen.
It is more a case of me going in with realistic goals and not trying "to beat someone up".
