I've been following this project ... very nice work.I have a question about the front bumper on your Dodge dually, what company makes it and is it aluminum or steel ? I'm in the market for a new front bumper.
The bumper was from Australia..called a UTE...as far as know no longer imported. All aluminum, I happen to have two as the original was involved in an accident on FL...guy pulled out in front of me from a stop sign...probably thinking he can beat the big TC across the intersection NOT...hit his rear quarter panel, spun him around and totaled the car...the bumper moved back a bit on the mounts so the hood would not open and put a dent in the lower part. I was still drive-able, pulled into ta TA truck stop after calling insurance company over their pit...tech loosened the bolts and we moved it back out and re-tightened the bolts drove the rest of the trip and home...local body shop fixed some body damage, got the new bumper from the importer here in WA and I bought salvage on the dented one.
Just in case there is another mishap...it could be fixed by a pro metal worker or filled and painted...just a good idea in my thinking!
There are some really good bumper makers, but most are steel for P-up's...see lots of alloy on big rigs...good luck!
