Today, I finished the trim bits and installed the map rack and siliconed and screwed the inside porthole after cleaning both inside glasses.

Then I made the under lament for the new Corian top, that I may get on the 10th. The far edge against the refer was 5/8 lower on the front edge, cut a wedge and then 1/4" board over the whole. You can see the wedge...no wonder the old top flexed so much.

Then onto building the battery box...inside is 13 tall 16 wide and 14 deep it will hold two #27 and is oriented with the door so they can be loaded...I HOPE! It measures as if it will.

While I waited for the paint to dry I made some jack stops for the rear...on the original TC the bottom of the TC corner was squished by the jack foot when in the up position. Made a mess, so I stop it before it gets there. Used a 5" angle alum and drilled a hole and mounted where the bottom jack support bracket. It works but I find if the jacks doesn't stop immediately it puts some strain on the bumper assembly...going to rethink this solution and be careful when retracting.

Installed the box after dinner, the paint was dry. It went in tight. If you look close at the box on the table you'll notice a slight cut out ant the bottom to accommodate the steel rail inside the wing, so it will go flush with the wall, make it east to caulk.

Reinforced the top back corner as it it two 1/4" boards coming together. Side and bottom are 3/4" MD sign board.

Inside view shows that I used all the space between the water fill and the hot water heater. Ran the duct that feeds the sewer tanks up and over, the propane line is for the stove.

All buttoned up! New hatch new box. no wasted space. Going to lay battery cables in before the top goes on...I think a whole lot easier to do that even if I find i do not need the two extra batteries..it will be there.

Take note thew the new drawer under the stove top will be large at 20" wide, 12" front to back and 11 Top to bottom....that will be nice! Now I need to find a heavy duty 12' slide and a hold shut device. (IDEAS WELCOME!)

I run a boats for the next 4 days...so work will be halted for a while. Ordered the new shades today for the galley window and the escape hatch and the two small side windows in the slide.
