The worst happens to us up here. Numerous recalls happen making big news and when we go into a dealership we get the company line, "Oh that recall doesnt apply to Canada." despite the fact they are the same vehicles with the same parts made in the same factory as the US model. Maybe we aren't humid enough up here ;-). Has happened to us with Japanese, Euro and NA vehicles. In most cases they come around to it up to a year later and in some cases reimbursed owners who paid for the repair to avoid that whole "am I driving a ticking bomb?" feeling. But not everytime.
