I had no problem with Ford in my area, but Ram felt like pulling teeth. Use the fleet/commercial side of the dealership to order the truck you want. If the dealership does not have chassis cabs on their lot, fleet sales is not their focus and move on to another one that does.
I have four Ford dealers that were willing to work with me within 20 miles of my home. I had to buy my Ram out of state to make it worth the trouble and get a price worth the extra hassle.
Bellow was my custom build in 2005. It rolled out the door for about $30k with all taxes, fees and rebates.
