Not that uncommon. User JBarca has a ton of posts on this hitch in the archives. I would search his username and dual cam and read for hours on end. He specifically addresses they why and how to prevent it from happening again.

IIRC, Proper setup on many lashups with this hitch result in the bars pointing down , pretty sharply. So much so, that IMO ground clearance is compromised. Maybe not an issue for some. But for those of us that venture off the beaten path, it would be. That is the main reason I never considered that hitch as an option for me.
