Refigerator tempts
Rv is parked in the sun without hookups.93 outside and fridge is 47. Is that the norm? Unit is older and is gas or 12 volt. It is currently on gas.

Sounds like you have discovered at least part of the problem but the simple fact is that absorption fridges have always struggled when ambient temps are high. Especially if the fridge side isn't in the shade.
If you decide to replace your fridge you should give serious consideration to switching to a compressor fridge.
