- cigar_100Explorerwe had a recent fridge problem camping world said the cooling unit need to be replaced, come to find out the propane regulator was no good. inexpensive fix compared to replacing the cooling unit.
- Reddog1Explorer IIDon't you just love it when you have a happy (low cost) ending?
Wayne - Victory402ExplorerGlad you figured it out. Overlooking the simple sometimes can lead to mass confusion.
- eveready1289ExplorerIt is working now. Its a Norcold refrig. I was not holding the temp
control knob in long enough to start the burner. - saltamontesExplorersometimes the supply lines in the propane tank compartment get bent when you slide the tray in, cutting off flow.
try pulling on the supply hose to straighten it out, see if that restores flow - mkirschNomad IIIt takes an excruciatingly long time to purge the air from the propane line to my fridge if it's been more than a few days since the fridge was last lit. Starting the stove burners does not seem to help. They light almost immediately.
I have to sit there holding down the knob with my ear to the chimney listening for the "whistle." When the whistle starts the propane is close, and when it stops it is time to hit the ignitor button. - billtexExplorer II

If it is a Dometic or Norcold, there is no pilot.
Really? How does it work on propane?
The "clicking" is the piezo igniter trying to light the pilot. As noted, check you gas supply...
Try lighting stove first...sometimes this trick gets the fuel pressure up... - Reddog1Explorer IIIf it is clicking, I can't see it as fuse related. If it is clicking, the igniter should be adjusted correctly. As previously posted, gas is not flowing correctly. Very good chance spiders or some other critter has made a nest. A RV repair shop would probably require 30 minutes to 1 hour labor to fix it, if it is just plugged. It is worth trying to fix yourself. Try blowing it all out with a can of compresses air.
Wayne - gingerKExplorerhad a similar problem with my Dometic. Turned out to be a blown fuse in my converter. No problem with the frig. Worked fine after replacing fuse.

Post the brand/model OR a picture of fridge.
