Thanks for your opinion.
Didn't buy sight unseen. Did have the delivery inspection - 1 1/2 hours of it. Nothing was mentioned about the fridge not having an "off" control and that the unit would have to be deinstalled from it's cabinet to unplug. Nothing was mentioned about the refrigerator auto-draining the battery causing total battery drain in just hours. No battery power means no lights, etc. - which is another safety issue. Dealer claimed this was the first they've heard of any problems with the fridge in the Palomino 8B BUT dealer now says Palomino was aware of the problem.
Had an entry level Newmar Class A - Scottsdale. Absolutely NO PROBLEMS with it.
The whole entry-level-buyer-beware, of course you aren't getting a decent unit - is absolute BS!
Anything sold should be safe and functional! An entry level tea kettle should still boil water!
p,s. edit - I REALLY appreciate hearing from all of you. It's helping to clarify my thinking... Husband and I are formulating a letter to Palomino.
