The thing to always keep in mind is that the refrigerator has to be kept within 3 and 6 degrees of level if your stopped. We had our refrigerator go out within the first year of ownership, thankfully it was still under warranty. I think it was while traveling we'd stop and the trailer would be sitting out at maybe 10 degrees or so out of level.
Ergo the reason I make it a practice to turn our fridge off anytime we stop for any length of time, whether for a lunch time stop or sight see or whatever ... probably an overabundance of caution but it works for me. Our driveway is significantly sloped so I turn the fridge off before parking, when we arrive at a campground my wife usually turns the fridge off while I check in and we don't turn it back on until we're on-site and leveled. Maybe unnecessary but these fridges here in Canada are well over $2K to replace so any inconvenience pales by comparison and having the fridge off for awhile makes little difference in keeping our food properly cooled. :)
