- pitchExplorer IIGot a set of McKesh to get rid of. The mirrors themselves are fine, but the straps vibrated enough in a 100 mile trip to scuff the paint on my doors. I am no in search of a good slip on.
- KalabinExplorerI think the CIPA's were fine for us when we were only getting out about 10 times a year. But these last couple of years we were getting out 30+ times and I have to agree. If you can find OEM Tow mirrors sometimes the 500.00 for them is just plain worth it if you have the coin to invest in your tow rig.
- Still_Searchin_ExplorerRegarding strap noise from the McKesh, try putting a twist in them. That worked for us. IF you do hit something with McKesh, they don't swivel in and you will have some door damage, another advantage of the CIPA's is that they are attached to your OEM swing away mirrors and will either break off if you hit them or will swing in the whole mirror (I never tried that experiment!).
- vermilyeExplorerAnother removable mirror to look at is the Grand Aero. I tried a bunch of add on mirrors & prefer these.

Try the CIPA slide ons. They don't vibrate, easily slide on and lock firmly in place for about $69. I've had mine for 3 years and they work great. :C
X2 - I've used the same McKesh mirrors on my current TV and previous TV (GMC Sierra 1/2 ton). I tried slipon mirror before and, while I never experienced problems with them sliding off, there was always a significant vibration to the image. Not so with the McKesh (some, but same as a normal side view mirror).
- JN_BExplorerI had the cipa ones.. They suck compared to just replacing the mirror with the OEM tow mirrors..I won't go back to the bandaide solution..
- mboppExplorerI had the McKesh mirrors on my Envoy and liked them. But on the F150 the straps vibrate badly, maybe because the doors don't have a lot of curvature to them. I bought a set of the CIPA slip-on extensions, I like the way they fit but haven't towed with them yet. I ordered them from Wally World.

Loved them.. Slide on and slide off. No problems at all from them.
Looks like Amazon has them on sale right now for $49.00 with free shipping.
CIPA slide on towing mirrors
I much prefer these over strap on mirrors... If something happens and you do bump something with the mirror you just damage the mirror, with some strap on brands you could dent the door, not a fun time at all. (not sure about Mckesh's system)
Thanks!
