Solar panels are cheap, I would put up 2 of 'em if you have the room. Alternatively, put up the 100W leaving room for a second, and make sure you get a controller big enough to handle the second 100W. Then if you decide you need it, adding it is very easy.
This sounds like a good idea. Looking at our consumption, 100W should be enough. I just don't know why every 100 system I have researched says "1 battery"? Seems like a broad statement to me. Oh well...
Part of the challenge, with a TC, is we don't want to cover the entire roof with solar panels as we carry kayaks and need to walk around up there, also like to go up on the roof for sunsets and/or photography. The roof is a great viewing platform!
