My old Town Car needs some major repairs...1-2x the value of the car. But, a new car is 5x plus the value of the repairs... How do you judge..repair vs replace in this circumstance? Yes, ...

There are also typically expenses with car swapping, (sales tax, title fees, registration, etc.) that only benefit the government, so something else to keep in mind.

I agree whole heartedly...we did buy a 2014 Minivan due to some unfortunate circumstances ... But I intend to keep it for at least a decade.
