I ordered that too. It works for me but, some of my friends say it's too firm and uncomfortable. I guess it's all what you are used too.
If your daughter is 14 she should be able to sleep on anything. When I was that age I had a tent if I was lucky. Many times I just slept in the ground using my coat as a pillow. As I said I guess it's all what you are used to.
