Replacement of sliding doors on 38' travel trailer

Our old trailer 2004ish was vandalized while on site in remote Northern Wisconsin. The large sliding doors were strained to gain entry and glass was broken. What is a reasonable way to repair? Can I order whole new door inset? Replacing glass may not be sufficient as the door frame may be bent. Can it be bent back into shape? I see some dollars will be spent! Whats your advice on this matter? FYI it is not the entry door but the sliding double pained patio style door! UGH!

  • I would do what the post above says.
We have a 37 footer and the patio sliding door is the same as one from Lowes or Home Depot, ( but they come in various widths)

I have installed 5 sliding glass doors and it is a fairly easy job if you are handy.
Shims, mouldings and some good caulking are your friends!

I would get the cheapest I could find

  • Get some measurements. Then see if a residential unit will fit. Probably would be cheaper than a repair.
