I replace my TT tires at the first sign of sidewall cracking, regardless of brand. The interval usually works out from three to four years. I have never had a blow out. AT 3.5 years old you were on the down hill side of tire life-assuming you didn't cover your tires when in storage.

Thank you for that info. My Maxxis that was losing the cap was purchased about five years ago. Maybe they are improved and still America's Tire gave me full warranty credit toward a GY Endurance.

Right or wrong I replaced mine this year with America made Goodyear Endurance. I don't have enough miles or time on them to have a opinion about them yet.

I just ordered Maxxxis tires again for my TT

I got 8 problem free years out of them so there was no hesitation in ordering them again

I've travled with them up and down the east coast with them, I also check my air pressures before every trip

I ordered them from Discount Tire Direct with free shipping

Currently running Goodyear Endurance. Only Carlisle and Goodyear ST (that I know of) are speed rated over 80 mph so that is all I recommend.

I've had good luck so far with the Carlisle HD's I put on back in 15 (EDIT: Oopsy! 2016). I have about 7,000 ish miles on them so far.

I replaced tires on my TT. Mine is a 2010 that I bought last Oct. I checked and it appeared the tires were original. They had excellent tread but the sidewalls were starting to check and I didn't want to chance a blowout on 7 year old tires. I stayed with the same size but went from a D rated to E rated tires. I bought TransMaster brand. I've only put a few hundred miles on them but no problems so far. TowMaster and TransMaster are made by Greenball tires and the reviews I read were good. Goodyear and Maxxis had good reviews also.

I looked at Goodyear Endurance in a 15" but they only offer them in load range D and E. If your rims have the PSI capability, you can go up a load range, otherwise stay with what you have. I got a great deal on Maxxis M8008s and put 1500 miles on them in July with no issues.
