replacing roof top tv antenna elevator tubes

We ordered the only part # listed through wine gard for the elevator tubes, one of which had bent during a camping trip. They are 1 foot shorter then the originals. The real issue is if you need to turn the antenna to pick up reception, the antenna being lower now hits the roof top radio antenna( bending it and getting stuck turning). I will call wine gard tomorrow but any one else find the replacement tubes are shorter and have issues?
