Modern pickups handle very well. With an adequate tow vehicle, towing will be very easy. The additional length should be your only concern. Jayco makes some good trailers in the weight range you are talking. An electric tongue jack eliminates a lot of the physical work involved in a TT. While I would not suggest being terribly out of level, most lots are within the inch or so needed for good camping.
