I haul stuff in the bed of my truck sometimes, so a Class C would never work for me. I think you can survive with any type of unit. Some of the 4x4 truck campers are probably higher than a normal Class C. Older GMs are up to 6 inches shorter than a Ford, for instance.
I’d go to a few lots and find the floorplans you like in each and then compare. For sure, you can buy a pretty nice Class C for the cost of just the DRW truck.
