We have had a Class C (1987 28ft? Travelmaster E350 bought new), 2 truck campers, and 2 5th wheels. The current Bigfoot on the Ram dually drives great. I have yet to have any noticable wind effect. I'm 800-1,000# under payload. Added a BigWig sway bar that I had on the previous 2016 Ram SRW. The Ram SRW was just a bit too light for the Bigfoot. The Class C just sorta wallowed around all over the road.
A properly matched truck and cabover is sweet driving. An overloaded rig is not.Kinda like an old Impala vs. a new Corvette.
If you're coming out of a Class A a truck camper or a B will be small. Maybe look at the smallest Class C on a E450 chassis.
And...no to a M-B Sprinter. Parts and labor issues.
You will be around $100,000 for a new 4x4 diesel dually and a new camper. But if all you do with the truck is carry a camper you could go gas and maybe not 4x4.
edit add....if I had the Bigfoot 10.4 with a dry bath I would be a happy boy.
