Our town passed a large vehicle ordinance and required you to register with the city, pay a fee and then buy a 24 hour parking permit when you need to park in front of your home. Any vehicle over 7 feet high or more than 21 eet in length meets the criteria for a large vehicle.
It's not just restricted to commercial plate vehicles.
So now all over town you see RV's parked in front yards and driveways instead of the street. The storage lots are having heyday because they can charge high rates for RV spots. The lot we store in has gone from $180 to over $300 per month in the past two years since the ordinace was passed. They haven't added any more amenities to justify the raise.
