Hopefully will get out to either our home camp ground just 40 miles away at Westmoreland State Park or maybe to the closes mtn camp site up on Skyline drive at Camp Loft Mountain.
Was interested in your name BonnieBear1 and state being Illinois. After looking at your profile I see the name Bonnie comes from your name but We are from a town in Southern Ill named Bonnie which is just south of Mount Vernon, ILL on State highway 37. Bonnie is the only town in the whole USA with this name so make it abit unique. Two towns next to each other only three miles apart were named BONNIE and INA after the original C&EI man's two daughters that put in the railroad way back then. Some Illinois history here hehe... I was born near Bonnie and when I left for the Air Force back in the 50's the town sign said 98 population. I always told everyone that knows about small towns that I had to go as far away as Arkansas to find someone I wasn't kin to to get married. Even that had connections to my home area as my wife's family from OKLA/TEXAS were OIL-FIELD rough necks and put in all the oil fields East of Mt Vernon and Fairfied. Her mother went to grade school in Fairfield IL some 30miles to the East. - AllysciaExplorerBetween work and kids sports camping has been at a premium. We love KOA Ivy Lea and have been twice (weekends) with one more planned for September. We have a week long trip planned at Quinti Isle near Picton, Ontario. Both spots are fairly close, family friendly and lots of Fun!
- PadlinExplorerSo far not much, just a trip out to cape cod for a week and a weekend locally. We do fall trips to avoid the heat and crowds, going to try South Carolina the first 2 weeks of Oct. Have a week reserved at Charleston then heading to the west side for a week.
- mdcampingExplorerSo far we've done Turning Stone NY, Salisbury Beach State Reservation, MA. In a couple of days we leave for Old Orchard Beach, ME. The week following Labor Day we head for Cape Cod then Columbus Day weekend were heading to Lancaster PA.

- dadmomhExplorerThis has been a skinny year for real "camping". It's served as our hotel most trips. Our standard, yearly trip to FL for spring training for a week+. 1 weekend to our fav CG close to home and then 9 days to New Braunfels, TX for a famiy reunion. And this weekend - with the exception of right now - back to our fav CG for 3 nights, which will end up being only 2 nights. Had to make an unplanned trip home to take DS#1 to the Dr - assuming he's better in the morning, we're back to the ROO to finish the weekend. We're looking forward to some fall camping and a 3 night trip to Village Creek SP in AR in November. This year is flying by and we have no idea where it's gone.

Other obligations kept us close to home. We spent our time and may spend some more time in and around the Sandbanks, in Picton, Ontario Canada. This is a fav place of ours and have been returning to it for years.

Now that sounds nice. I am totally envious.
