So after doing the formulas listed in my owners manual my Total GVWR is 5181 pounds. Adding up my weights .. cargo and passengers and tongue (also have weight distribution hitch) I come up 4900 - 5000 pounds. So I'm below my allowable rating. The only thing I'm over is the weight of the trailer by 150 pounds. 150 to me doesn't warrant buying a new suv. I would never haul it with any water or heavy items in it. The items I would bring are in the vehicle and added into the GVWR I came up with. I know it won't haul like a full size pickup truck but I can guarantee you one thing it's safe to haul. Espically where we are going a couple days at a time within 100 km of my house ... no big trips here. Drive to arrive
