Very few tow without a WDH/Sway control. Yes you can get by until you have a "perfect storm" of road conditions, then a sway control device WILL MAKE a difference between the trailer staying behind the tow vehicle or turning over on it's side.
An Equalizer hitch is inexpensive (compared to everything else in the RV world). Why put your family in danger?
