Rockwood Signature Trailer Options

Forest River was quick today to respond to some questions I had on options to the new Rockwood Signature trailer line up. What was a pleasant surprise was this year they are supplying a standard 7 cubic foot refrigerator and an outside 2 cubic ft. on some models. Here's their answers to my questions:
------------------------

1- Is this unit available with a 50 Amp, 2nd A.C. Prep option ( without actual A.C. unit) ? If so, what is the price adder?
ANS: Yes, MSRP $290 special write in option.

2- Can this unit be ordered with no carpeting in the kitchen- living area but still have carpeting in the bedroom area?
ANS: Yes, option: 10-2354-1 Minimum Carpet – KEEP BEDROOM CARPET

3- Can this unit be ordered with “D” rated tires instead of “C” rated? Literature indicates it comes with ST225/75R/C tires as standard.
ANS: We do not have tire options. We cannot install tires that would overstate the cargo carrying limit of our trailers as defined by the GVWR, axle, frame and wheels used. You can upgrade to aftermarket tires if you desire, but realize the GVWR and cargo carrying capacity doesn’t change with higher rate tires.

4- Can this unit be ordered with a 8 cubic ft. frig (verses the 6 cubic ft.) ?
ANS: We do not have an 8 cubic ft. refrigerator available. The Signature models now have a 7 cubic ft. refrigerator standard. Some models have a additional 2 cubic ft. outside accessible refrigerator included.

We plan on visiting the February 2015 RV Show in Novi, Michigan and look over the Rockwood Signature line.
ANS: We will be represented at the Novi show by our Detroit market dealers and will have a factory representative on hand.

  • We had a Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite and were very pleased with it, but we wanted a fifth wheel, so we ended up selling it.

X2 I'm an Internet Sales Manager in the automotive business and it amazes me that some dealers just don't get how important it is to be informative to online email inquiries. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain by answering the customers questions in an informative manner. I know from experience when shopping for a new TT last year most RV dealers wouldn't even respond to you. They only wanted your phone number and email so they could harass you with phone calls and emails.

What are they putting in now for audio control console? I heard they finally gave up on installing Genesis/Concertone audio control centers.

The new one has been working well. Don't remember the brand though.

Very pleased with my Rockwood Signature in the Windjammer configuration. 2 years old now, no problems.
