I had a Roll N Lock on my last truck and it was OK but it leaked quite a bit in the rain and the vinyl was starting to get "bars" in it where the slats were underneath and I could not remove them. It also had to be disengaged to open the tailgate which was a PITA.
I have a Retrax on my current truck and it is fantastic. It is much easier to operate than the Roll N Lock, is more weather resistant and looks great. The tailgate can also be opened with the cover closed which I also really like. Like a previous poster said they are pricey but well worth it.
