Roof came apart

I have a 2016 Forest River Salem Hemisphere lite I purchased new in June of 2016. I have only gotten to use the unit 4 times in the 18 months that I have owned it. I was up on roof cleaning it one day and noticed that there was a gap along the seam were the roof and the wall meet. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. It was sent back to Forest River to be repaired, only to find out that there was a 1/4 inch gap that ran all the way down the whole side of the trailer.
  • Time to give it back to them. This may require legal intervention if they can't fix it like new.
  • Yes Forest river tried to fix it. Came back with big giant bubbles in the lament on roof.
  • As I've said before, if cars were made like RV's we would laugh and not buy them. Good Luck.
  • Is it at Forest River now? Did they fix it and send it back? Did it happen again?
  • Gap should have been caulked with self levelling sealant. That is FR's baby, not yours. I bet the underlayment is rotted and possibly the actual frame too.
