rubber material repair

I have a 2010 Jayco with rubber roof. From inside the trailer, the slide has wood trim around the perimeter (except the floor) which gives it a finished look when the slide is open. On the back side of the wood trim there is rubber roof material that appears to be secured down the side (not talking about the roof part - talking about the side part) against the lip but does not lay flat against a solid surface. It looks like it stretches in against the slide of the trailer to give a weather tight seal when slide is out. I noticed 3 little holes that are about 1 mm each in that part of the rubber material, so it looks like a repair would have to be flexible. Could I use a rubber tire tube patch kit (like used to fix a flat on a bike) to repair this? Any other suggestions? Thanks for ideas.
  • I'd seal them with a rubber cement. Liquid Tape, a product for coating wires and electrical connections is just such a product and happens to be black. A disposable grease syringe would be a good dispenser.
