Is it possible for me to use a third party DC adapter (such as this one) instead of the supplied AC cord? My TT has a DC socket located where the TV would be mounted.
I did see this thread, where on the second page mbopp noted one needs to know what he/she is doing or you'd fry the TV.
short answer is yes... 12v dc is 12v dc whether is comes from an ac converter or from a dc adapter. You just have to make sure that the polarity of the contacts is correct and possibly check that any fusing (inside the adapter maybe) is adequate for the current draw.
As other asked, what tv are you referring to?
