Running the fridge on 12 Volts?
Any assistance would be appreciated. Have a 2013 Passport 3180RE. The dealer says the fridge will only run on Propane or A/C, but the control panel on the fridge HAS a 12V indicator (doesn't illunina...

Get a tech to add a 12 volt element and put it on a manual switch. The element will help to keep it cold but will not get it cold. Insure you turn it off when you turn off your motor or put it direct on the charge line from the key. The element will be available from your fridge manufacturer. It won't necessarily be for your model of fridge but rather for a camper sized fridge. It will still work though.
