RV AF: How long is too long...?

I winterized my TC last fall after hunting season. I have not camped this year and do not envision using it until next year (if at all.)

I would think the winterized AF present in the lines from last year will still protect, but for best practices, should I change it out and flush the system and replenish with new?

Whatcha' think?

    No. It's fine

I agree. I let my Lance sit over 2 winters and never touched the RV antifreeze at all and everything stayed peachy.
  • I made the same mis-assumption....
Cab Fresh is a charcoal fresh air intake filter for diesel trucks.
Fresh Cab is some sort of pest deterrent.

(or vise versa on the names to product.)

Is that fresh cab? Not familiar with that.
But then again it would not be the first thing I did not know.
    Thanks

  • I pumped about 3/4 gallon in the lines, drained fresh, gray and cassette. Drained the cold water heater and placed the remaining 1/4 gallon on the traps and toilet... you are right though that some might have evaporated.

Maybe I should just recharge it all again, but I guess I am more concerned of long term effects of RVAF sitting in the lines without a "season's camping" of fresh water int he lines.
  • Depends on how you winterized it, but I would at least run some more in the traps/toilet in case it evaporated. If you believe in empty/dry lines, then I think you are good.
