I've noticed multiple "Happy Campers" mention RV Direct as a source for pricing...So I took a gander to see what the MSRP would be on the Jayco Jayflight 23MBH I'm interested in... I found somethin...

I think a majority of the disdain comes from the system, meaning the whole MSRP racket and the fact there is no consistency and it is up to customer to do research & bargain heavily.

Dealers have to make money to stay in business, which gives us all another place to look at trailers. Don't bash them because some customers pay more than others. That is how some people can get a better price than others. Just the luck of timing, and the negotiating prowess of some people.
There are some dealers, that do not sell on “gouging” & leaving it to luck for the non-negotiating people, they sell units at consistent reasonable mark-up & develop relationships with customers with stellar knowledge & service, unfortunately these types of dealers are in the minority.
