rv museum hall of fame

Was driving 80/90 Indiana toll road on a road trip and happened to see this place. We decided to stop in and check it out. It was pretty cool. They had some really nice vintage RV's there. They also have an impressive library of trailer information as books, magazines, brochures, etc.. and the hall of fame attributed to hall mark people in the industry.

I'm glad we stopped.

  • Vintage definition "Characterized by excellence, maturity, and enduring appeal; classic." I often see stuff called "vintage" but to me it is just old stuff, nothing excellent or classic about it. I think the term has been adopted to make stuff sound more expensive than it really is. Like "shabby chic". Most of that is just old, worn out junk. One persons vintage is another persons old stuff.
  • We also stopped on our way back from the UP and it was great. Can't understand why they call some of them "vintage" when we remembered them quite well..... Also suggest that if your trailer was manufactured in the northern IN, call and schedule a tour of the facility. Interesting and you find out a lot you never knew.
  • I would definitely stop there if I was in the area... but I don't think I will be over there any time soon.

My favorite from their website is the 69 Ford RV. Mainly because I have a 67 Ford pickup that has served me well!
  • Yes, if you have the time make a pit stop here. It is really pretty cool!
  • Thanks for posting that. We will be in that area later in the summer and I think that is going to be a "must stop" for us. Looks very interesting.
  • Glad you stopped. A few years ago they were on the brink of closure. We visit about once ever 5 years.
