RV Refrigerator?

I'd normally turn the fridge off and empty it after each camping trip unless we were intending to head out again within a few days. 2 reasons - running the fridge means I have to ensure the trailer is level vs not bothering if I don't intend to run the fridge. Second reason - I'd prefer to not throw away $$ to power a fridge weeks or months at a time when it's not being used.
