RV show observations

Just got back from the RV show in Rosemont IL. Lots to see all different brands, different layouts and sizes. We did not see anything that we like better than the layout we already have (Jayco 29QBH) so we will stay with what we have looks like the new flooring choice of preference is wood laminate and everybody flip bathrooms around so tub and toliet are opposite of our layout. One thing that amazes me is the price asked for the little pod style trailers 10 to 15 thousand seems like alot for what you get. I know everybody can't have a truck to pull big TT but public should not be gouged on pices either. Still a good time for me and the Wife good reason to get out of the house in this never ending winter. Happy camping to all

  • I noticed outside kitchens are getting smaller. I love our huge outside kitchen, with 4.1 fridge, sink, cook top stove and cabinets. I really hate seeing those 2.0 fridge outside kitchen with no sink, what is the sense?
  • We went to the Dayton OH RV show a few weeks ago and noticed that they really push the giant fifth wheels. They are neat to look at but you could put my F150 in the pass through storage! Maybe someday I'll have an F350 to pull one but for now we'll stick with our Kodiak 200QB.

Agreed on all points based on my visit to the 2014 Houston RV show last weekend. Even the RV in the show that was closest to mine (Rockwood Super Lite 2703WS) was not as nice! :) We are very pleased with our RV and have no need to go to RV shows any more.

As for the small but expensive RVs - Small and light costs money I guess but you also have to look at the intended demographic. Could be pricing based on who is likely to buy and pay relatively more than others.

Also saw a few Airstreams there too. While I love their design and build quality, these trailer's are, in our opinion, waaaay overpriced. Class B's are also waaaay overpriced as well.
