We bought our TT in January and got the same price as they were going for at the shows. The difference is it was never trampled through (it was ordered), we dealt with a salesperson who is always at the dealer as opposed to the traveling salespeople at the shows who sell anything from rvs to mops, and we are familiar with the place we bought it from.
That's a good point on the sales people at the shows. Large outfits like Camping World and Campers Inn bring in dozens of sales people from other locations to push units. At Pittsburgh I would bet Campers Inn and CW had at least 60 or more each last Jan.
I have 3 go to local / semi local dealers. At one I deal with the owner as he is also the only salesperson and the service manager, and we have been friends since grade school. The other two each have a salesperson who has been there for years.
