I'd be very surprised if hybrids are phased out. They serve a critical niche: People with families who need more sleeping space, and don't want to pull a 27-30' TT.
Unlike many comments here indicate hybrids don't save weight over otherwise identical non-hybrid models. The fold out bunks add weight.
IMO, the shows focus on the flashy models that are more likely to sell quickly at the show. Visit a dealer's lot (one that focuses primarily on trailer sales, not Class A sales) and you'll see lots of hybrids.
