No. The material used in regular garden hoses emit nasty substances not suitable for drinking. I would much rather drink my arsenic laced water from an approved hose than drink safe water from a non approved hose.
At one point in our RV life we would always carry 250' of hose. The others in our group usually carried about as much. There was more than one time when we would have close to a thousand feet stretched out and at that barely filled everyone.
