RVAC extended warranty

Hi all.
I bought 5 year extended warranty for my trailer.
There are basically two packages. Gold and Platinum.
I got the Gold and for $1000 more, I can switch to the Platinum.
Here is what you get.

Does anyone think it is a good idea to have the additional coverage.
i have never had a slide break....or an audio system or my levelers...
So I am not sure the repair bill if it did happen someday and if it is worth risking $1000......

  • I'll take it one step farther....see if you can get out of the one you already agreed to.

But, beyond that - congrats on you new rig, Getting a new trailer is really fun and exciting. Enjoy it.
  • On our pop-up, HTT, and current TT I wouldn't have used an extended warranty if I had one. YMMV.
  • I would not spend another $1000. I don't think it's a good idea.
    Save your money.
  • How much did you pay for it, did you finance it. Do you have the money to pay for repairs out of pocket. I find very few things go wrong with our camper. If it does I have a great repair shop or do it my self. I would never pay for it. Put that money in the bank and use it for repairs, bet you have money left
  • Congrats on your new unit. Hope you have many wonderful trips.

When I pick up my new unit in a week or two, when they ask if I want an extended warranty, the answer will be no. If they ask a second time, it will get ugly. I may once all the manufacturers warranties have expired, and if I've actually had issues, consider one. But I doubt it.

You've made the choice to get the Gold and hope you never have to use it. I would not go for the platinum.
