We have a table and chairs. Our table top actually slides a few inches to one side to make access to the back chair easier. Grandkids have been frequent visitors and have never had a prioblem even as they got older. A large person likely would though. We can also swivel our table 90 degrees. No noticible carpet wear. Chairs (4) ride fine with no straps.
