We do not have a lot of those in Canada yet. I think a lot of finding the right unit is give and take, hopefully I do not have to give to much.

This week was insanely busy, after the camper left I was looking all week and NOTHING. Although I did narrow down the like list and I did make a decision on a possible future TCer. First the TCer, I always thought that I may have to go for another Tcer after this week this is highly unlikely. Again for my use a TCer is not feasible any longer, I realized this week in looking at so many RV's that it is the stairs that are doing me in when I am moving my gear back and forth so a TCer is way on the possible back burner at this time. 100 + lbs of camera and computer gear is too much for hauling up and down the stairs.

So the possible list that I came up with.....

Lexington by Forest River 23'(with one slide) Would work but not the most ideal as the only bed is a sofa and when made into a bed not a lot of room to pass by to go to the rear of the camper. More with the slide open but not 100% what I want.

Class B - If I did any of the smaller vans it would work for me and my boy for road trips but I think I would buy a small trailer for longer stays at different places and pull with the van, that way I have the van for the day and the trailer for at night.

Class C - I have looked at a number of small class C's but not one make jumps out at me

B+ - I have looked at these but the ones that I like (Sprinter's) are insanely priced. So not holding out a lot of hope for this.

So with the TCer gone I have just spent the last hour pulling out my old backpacking gear and loading up the SUV to head out for a couple days of shooting. This trip will be at a hotel for sleeping but will cook with the old stove and cooking gear.

Hopefully the next trip in a few weeks will see a new to me camper in the picture :-)

Well I watched the truck and camper pull away tonight, first time since I owned it that another person has driven it except the mechanics.

Now the search goes into high gear.

Make sure you test the generator for a while under FULL load with AC and other loads on it. Good luck!!

Thanks, will do. Between all the stuff I knew, all the stuff I have learned from others on this forum the dealers HATE it when I show up as I know a lot of things to look for.

Yes but they are not common and the price is CRAZY! I would not be able to go camping if I bought a new or even a newer one as I would be broke :E

Thank you. The other thing that I found on Class C's or at least on the ones that I looked at was getting up to get into the back was for the young as they have a cup holder on the engine cover that takes up any space to move your legs through the back.

Everything has a tradeoff, comfort, size, cost, mobility. Finding the balance is the key. We liked the 22' B+ with the slideout because we could still get into places and park in normal parking spots. Easy drivability and comfort. The jackknife couch/ bed is not as nice as a conventional bed mattress, but again- a compromise. We make it work with a memory foam topper.

Plus, I can park it in my driveway.

No, I think they went out in 2008 or so. Manufacturer was from Saskatchewan.
