Safety in popup for single woman?

I'm considering all options for the RV I will buy. I really like the compactness of popups and figure they would be easy to handle, but I'm a single woman traveling by myself. I imagine criminals cutting through the sides, wild animals clawing their way in, etc.

Are there ways to improve safety of the popup, or should I cross this type of RV off of my list?

  • From what I have seen, most women seem to prefer either a class B or C unit more than something that you have to exit the vehicle to get inside the living quarters.
  • You should cross 'criminals cutting thru the sides' off the list, unless of course you like RV parks in the seedy parts of town.
