What I was trying to get to is "natural selection" as I call it.
US with wide freeways and low speed limits, naturally calls for doing everything else while driving from simple boredom.
It is perspective loop, but IMHO US speed laws encourage drivers to break attention laws.
Now try to think why European cars lack cup holders?
I’ve driven the autobahn, and there IS a cultural difference as well - unlike America, getting a DL in Germany requires REAL study, understanding and mental preparation, and unlike the ‘slam-dunk’ at American DMV’s, is of no minor feat...In my view, no direct comparison is plausible...
