Boy we are up to 9 pages.
My view is that is not the phone, not the 8" touch screen, not the French Fries in the lap, BUT the nut behind the wheel!
Someone posted how easy it is to get a drivers license in the US, this is a MAJOR part of the problem. We have too many drivers out there that can barely handle just driving!
These people can't make necessary decisions in a timely manner. It isn't about being cautious it is about being able to mentally process information and make a decision. THEN they think they can talk on a phone in their hand!!
I will also share more than once I have seen a smoker on a Cell while driving!! Cigarette in one hand on the wheel, Cell in the other, what happens when they feel the need for a drag!
