I got selected for a jury recently on a case where a woman left her wallet in a shopping cart and the next person that grabbed the cart stole $400 from the wallet before turning it in. The prosecution presented surveillance video from the bus the thief took to the store and the store itself.
The woman who left her wallet in the cart was on the phone. The woman who stole the cash was on the phone from the time she got on the bus, while she was shopping and when she got back on the bus to go home, a solid hour.
I guess I don't get it.
