A lot of good points.
A couple more from my point of view......
1 - It is different driving down a highway and talking on a hands free phone then driving in a busy city area. I will not take a call if I am in an area that I am dealing with a lot of pedestrians and other traffic. My cell phone is my office but if I don't take the call they can leave a message.
2 - Texting while driving should be automatic jail time if you are in an accident. Absolutely no reason for that!!! Even handsfree texting does not work. It takes too much of your attention as most of the time the system does not work correctly. You have to trouble shoot when using it as well as driving as well as texting - JUST bad!!
3 - I would love to see a lot more enforcement for areas that have laws for this. Up the charges to help pay for the enforcement. A scale like $250 for the first offense, $2500 for the second, $5000 for the third and a vehicle seizure for the fourth. I find that it is a lot of the same people that do this. I live in a school zone and everyday that I am home the same people pass my house on their phones. When I have picked up my son parent's get out of their vehicle talking on their phones, pick up the kids, get back in the vehicle and drive away still on the phone holding it to their head. When I hear what they are talking about I cannot believe that they need to talk about some of the things they are - IT IS NOT THAT URGENT!!!! Plus if you are driving a 2019 vehicle you have hands free!!!!
4 - Figure out how to jam signals in vehicles. I know this opens up other issues like passengers not able to call or text or issues if in an accident. But I am sure some smartier peoples ten me can figure it out :B
