Automatic jail sounds great, but that almost never exists for traffic accidents. I’ve been driving multiple cars when they were totalled by being run over by other drivers. Even the guy who was drinking didn’t get a ticket. Sure, I missed a lot of accidents, but those two times the other driver didn’t even give me a chance. One rode right up my tailpipe with cars on either side of me and no exit for me. The other time, tboned me just behind the drivers door. Both drivers said where did you come from. Oh, neither had a cellphone.
