- Vvvv1010ExplorerThis is on I -35 downtown San Antonio. My brother was driving opposite direction and sent me this pic this morning. He thinks Salem TT came off the ball.
- colliehaulerExplorer IIIIf it was probably high hitched or wrong size ball.
- mgirardoExplorerThat seems like a lot of damage to the front of the TT to have just come off the ball. There's an interesting story there.
-Michael - colliehaulerExplorer IIILooking closer it looks like it was sideswiped. But it's all a guess.
- gaymeadowsmanExplorerIf the hitch came off the ball, the owner must have had a truck he felt didn't need a WHD hitch. I know with the downward tension my Equal-I-zer 4-way bars put on the receiver ball it would take one heck of a bounce to lift tongue off the ball. I think of my Equal-I-zer hitch as an extra bit of protection.
- DiskDoctrExplorerDamage to one front corner? Maybe a jackknife?
- TimtationExplorerFast deceleration makes stuff up front push the wall out a bit.
- afidelExplorer III was thinking unhitched, hit the Jersey barrier and bounced back into the middle of the road. Actually saw exactly that happen when I was a brand new driver, hadn't had my license but a few months. Second snowstorm driving, SUV in front of me about 100' loses trailer, they both head to the left, trailer hits the side of the bridge, bounces back into traffic right in front of me, luckily I had downshifted right when I saw the trailer separate. Trailer ended up on right shoulder of bridge. I hope the responding trooper gave him a huge ticket for unsecured load and not having proper safety chains.
- mobeewanExplorerProbably jack knife then ripped loose from the ball.
- GrandpaKipExplorer IIJust the beginning of the alien apocalypse.
