Dont buy a 7-10 yr old truck from WI, or anyplace else in the salt belt.
BTW my last truck, a 05 Dodge 2500 CTD, the body was in good shape with just a couple bubbles starting to show over the fender flares. Which I put those flares on in 2012ish to cover the rust bubbles forming around the wheel wells. Frame was fine other than surface rust. Nothing that hurt the structural integrity.
OH and BTW I had to replace the oil pan on it because it got a rust hole and leaked oil.
But all trucks will be the same unless Aluminum oil pan. But I see all brands of that era and much newer with alot of rust on them.
My new truck is aluminum bodied.
Buy from salt free area, or buy new.
